When Apple announced the iPhone 4, the company indicated that it would come in either black or white. However an official Apple statement later explained the white model was harder than the black one to manufacture and as a result, the release of the white iPhone 4 was delayed. Yet, Apple never explained the reasons that made the white models more challenging to make.
